DEPP is dedicated to supporting "Sustainable Development" by using Integrated Pest Management. According to the World Commission on Environment and Development, sustainable development is:
"Development and Services that meet the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs."
DEPP was formed to provide a "Green" pest control service incorporating our proprietary product; DiaSource® Diatomaceous Earth Crawling Insect Killer.
With "Sustainable Development" as a constant goal, we have developed specific installation procedures and processes that give us the ability to support and educate out customers on our product and the benefits of living and working with out commonly used harmful toxic chemical pesticides.
The owners of DEPP have been involved with DiaSource® Diatomaceous Earth Crawling Insect Killer since its development. This product contains no stomach poisons or nerve toxins. Unlike chemicals pesticides, there is no residue build up from multiple applications. When the proven procedures and processes for application are followed, there is not need for additional major reapplication's. Spot treatments might be needed to treat "back pack" insects that are brought/carried in via cardboard boxes, pets, humans coming in from outside, etc...
Integrated Pest Management (IPM): IPM is an effective and environmentally sensitive approach to pest management that relies on a combination of common-sense practices by initially using the least hazardous pesticides available. ****Please note that in several chapters Diatomaceous Earth is mentioned as the "Green" initial use pesticide and should be placed in the wall voids of schools during construction as a crawling insect barrier.
